The Hunger Games Book Tag

I am freakin' addicted to The Hunger Games and 1 moth till' Mockingjay, so why not? BTW, there will be spoilers for all 3 books, so don't read if you haven't finished them!!! Let the 1st and only, annual Hunger Games Book Tag begin!!!
1. What is your Favorite book in the Hunger Games Trilogy?
How do you compare perfection to perfection to perfection? Though I loved all of them, I would have to say Catching Fire. It's really the point when the books start becoming awesome and when we really see how strong Katniss is emotionally. The love triangle starts heating up and when I first read it, I wasn't really on anyone's team(but team Peeta now tho), I was just enjoying the little romance had in the books.
2. How long would you last in the Hunger Games?
Before the gong sounds, I'll just trip over my own feet and be blown into bits and pieces. If I'm lucky enough to not do that then I'd either die in the Cornucopia or find a spot to hid and be one of the last 2, then I would get killed because whoever would be last 2 with me could probably kill me with their glare.
3. What is the strangest thing you thought was going to happen in the books?
I'm so weird, so don't judge. I kind of was beginning to think in Catching Fire that maybe Katniss would take too long to decide and Gale and Peeta would just become gay and fall in love with each other and be like 'Bye Katniss!' and then invite her to their wedding? Oh my god, that would have been the worst plot twist in history, but I would've died laughing. Ya really need ta hurray up Katnip.
4. How were you introduced to the hunger Games?
The whole buzz around it made me want to stay away from it actually. Then, I went to my friend-let's call her Bob- I went to Bob's house and she wanted to watch The Hunger Games movie(first one) and I was like eh, why not? I watched up until the training scene and I was literally so mesmerized by the concept, I didn't even notice the shaky camera! Bob let me read the summary of it on her book and I literally wanted to read it ASAP. Don't judge a book by it's buzz, kids.
5. Favorite moment that happens in Hunger Games?
So many, yet I can't recall any. I love Finnick and Johanna as characters though, they give the books so much of a lighter feeling during intense times. I can always could on Johanna to be sassy and Finnick to be funny. And the fact that we don't know what happens to Johanna and Finnick dies kills me. Honestly, without them, the books would not be the same. Too serious.
6. Who is your Favorite Character?
KATNISS DUH?! Who am I gonna choose Gale? Please no. I just think that Katniss is such a strong female character even with her PTSD, she can kick-ass. I have faith in the decisions she makes(unlike *cough cough* Tris Prior) and can always root for her! GO KATNISSSS:)
7. What District would you live in?
I want to be brave and say District 12, but I would commit suicide if I lived there. I don't want to say Capitol(well it's not a district, but that still counts) because the people there are so shallow. I would probably live in District 4 because 1. Finnick 2. There would always be food because of the fish(even though I hate seafood) and 3. I could take baths in the water there right?
8. What was the most emotional moment in the books for you?
Re-reading it was the moment in Catching Fire when Katniss and Peeta separate in the arena. They won't see each other again for a really long time and I just can't deal with that, okay? Reading for the first time, I think the very end when Katniss is trying to kill herself. It was so sad, knowing that people actually feel this way, that they absolutely can't live anymore. Heartbreaking.
9. What item from home would you take into the Arena with you?
I would take my Minnie Mouse necklace that I got in Disney World just for the sake of taking it. It doesn't have sentimental meaning to me, but I just think it's cool and Disney World was a fun trip, so...
10. What was the most evil plan someone made in the books?
The whole idea of kids killing kids is an evil plan made by President Snow. Honestly, Snow, could you have not created the damn Hunger Games? Maybe then you wouldn't be dead and people may actually like you as a President!
11. What are you looking forward to the most in the film?
Mockingjay Part 1... hm. Well, I always love the Finnick in his underwear/elevator scene part 2 scene. FInnick is hilarious and the way Katniss handles it with her sass make the whole thing even better. Besides, Sam Claflin in his underwear... yes please.
12 (BONUS QUESTION!) Who is your favorite Villain in the Hunger Games Trilogy?
How can you like villains, like honestly? Especially in this kind of book, where the only Villain is President Snow... 'Oh, I kinda like President Snow because beneath all that torture, evil, and wrath, I'm sure there is a kind man who just wants Panem to be a happy place. He never meant for everything that happened to happen.' NO NO NO

Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Spoilers for Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth

Summary:
This is the last installment in the widely known Divergent Trilogy. It's very hard to give a spoiler for a book that is not the first, but I will try my best. Allegiant follows Tris and Tobias when they finally begin to actually figure everything out. What is the city they live in really? After they have defeated the Erudite in the previous book, they face even more difficulties on a whole different emotional scale.

Non-Spoiler-y Review:
First off if you have not yet been spoiled about the ending for this book, give yourself a pat on the back because, you sir/ma'am, are an anti-spoiler genius. I am not. I was spoiled, sadly. It was by Instagram and I have still not forgiven it, though I am addicted. I've actually finished this book over a week ago, so don't hate on my incorrect plot thingamajigs. Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but maybe not the characters. Annoyed and tired of the same character flaws. I know that you need flaws to be a human being, but making the same mistakes over and over again is not a flaw... it's just plain stupidity. Sometimes I wonder if Veronica Roth meant for Tris and Tobias to annoy the fudge out of everyone. Or me because everyone else adores them. I rant about this to my friends a lot and they just think that there is something wrong with me because Theo James is 'so hot', but come on... he's 30. Not that age matters or anything pfft *puts hand awkwardly behind body*

Full Out Spoiler Review:
The ending though... I literally can't. I didn't cry when she actually physically died, I cried when Cara told Tobias and Christina. I was sad for Christina because she's a great character and all her friends literally died, but I was like screw Tobias because by the end of the book, I was done with him. There's nothing wrong with him... wait cross that... freakin' everything is wrong with him! (i'm kidding, but seriously) Am I the absolute only person who thought that he was an ass throughout the books? Sorry if you like him, but think about it. He gets mad at Tris for doing things he does himself and sometimes he's so stupid!!! I hated how Uriah died, like no. Veronica Roth, take away Tris, take away Tobias, but you ain't getting Uriah! It was so sad having his mom and brother by his side when they took the life machine thing away from him, so sad. Caleb, okay so people hate this guy and I honestly don't really mind him. He's just there for me; I don't hate him I don't love him. The fact that he is a traitor was sad, but I don't think it's his fault that Tris dies, okay? He never forced her to do it, he was going to volunteer himself to die but TRIS COULDN'T DEAL WITH THE FACT, so she did it. Holy macaroni people, I know it was supposed to be him, but let's move on??? Tobias and his mother was the most cliche part of this book. They live somewhat happily together later on and they end up really liking each other. Yay. Tori and her brother George, I think was his name. I found it so sad that Tori died thinking her brother was dead by Jeanine and not knowing the truth about her world. Oh man, the world??? Like who expected that it would be an experiment to purify people? And there are other cities like theirs, that is mind blowing. At least Tris found out about all that before she decided to die... not decided, more like was shot twice by David, but whatever.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth

Spoilers for first book, Divergent by Veronica Roth.

Summary: Tris Prior is scarred. Her parents died for her. She killed one of her best friends. Now life is harder than ever and a change is brewing. Her Divergent status makes her dangerous. Her boyfriend is keeping secrets and she has no idea who to trust anymore. In this dystopian version of our world, we learn about the consequences of our actions, love, war, and how to deal with fear.

Non-Spoiler Review: I've been told that this book was the most boring out of the 3. I admit, for most of the time the characters were plotting or hiding out, but I wouldn't call it boring. A little annoying may be a better term. In the past book, I've been annoyed by Tobias, but this book made me almost hate him. I'm going to get beaten up for disliking Tobias because he's so popular, but I'm giving my opinion. Read the book and I'm sure you'll at least be slightly annoyed by is character. Honestly, Tris annoyed me too, but not nearly as much as her demanding boyfriend. I won't be quick to judge though because I have not yet read the last book(even though I have gotten so many spoilers) and maybe the characters will pick up?

Spoiler Review: Can we jump head on the characters first? Hm Tobias that annoying thing ugh! He frustrates me so much! I'm going to get hate, but it's my opinion, okay? (Guys, Theo Jame is like 30 in real life, so I don't think you should be that interested in him if you're still a teenager)  Okay. He blames Tris for lying and for making horrible plans, when he does it just as much as she does, if not more. The plan to break Tris out of Erudite on her execution day when she gave herself up. Oh my gosh... there were way too many holes in that ugh, how can Tobias be so??? Tris, that girl can be so cocky sometimes hmmmm. Moving on from the character, I really liked the story, it got me on the edge of my seat almost always and could make me laugh(Uriah). Lynn and Marlene's death... wth? Lynn's was so heroic, I loved it when she told Uriah that it was too late, but Marlene just died because she was under a serum. I wouldn't say Marlene's death was unnecessary because it was necessary for the story to move on(Tris going to Erudite and giving herself up). At Erudite, her execution date came early(you should have saw that coming Tobias) and Peter saved her. Since that point, I've started forgiving Peter somewhat for his acts. The way he sees life is honestly kind of sad. Peter, let me tell you something honey, just because someone holds the door open for you doesn't mean you automatically owe them. When Tris and Christina started to work with Marcus, I knew they were going to have a problem with their decision in the end. I was partially right. Tobias forgave her way too quickly thanks to the Edith Prior thing, but that was okay. They are going to get trialed in the next book(I think) and they are probaly going to get thrown in jail by Evelyn or executed. The moment when Jeanine was killed by Tori kind of scares me. Tori is much more powerful than I expected her to be. Tris of course, looks like a traitor when she tries to stop Jeanine's death, but ultimately doesn't succeed.I was spoiled for this series more than I've been for any other books, so Caleb being a traitor didn't shock me. I mean, it was awful of him to just watch while they execute his own sister, but Caleb was never that good in the first place. The Edith Prior video... it confused me. It was basically telling them that there was more outside of the fence? I feel bad for Edith because she did not know what she was getting herself into. All in all, I had mixed feelings about this book, but there were more pros than cons!

Recommend?: Yes, I will recommend it to everyone who has read the first book. I also recommend this series to anyone who enjoyed The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Legend by Marie Lu, and/or Delirium by Lauren Oliver.
